The Lift

Location: Art Gallery of Western Australia
A full-size construction in the form of a Lift (elevator) which has a dedicated computer system for the logic control of automatic doors, operating
buttons, lights, sound and images. The back-projected images and sound relate
to lift travel in terms of the clandestine scrutiny between lift riders as well as a
contemplation of vertical travel with the intense fear of putting one's life in the
control of a machine.
